Virginia Tech Mail Services

Mail Services at VT is excited to welcome the incoming class of 2029! As you prepare to send your favorite Hokies off to campus, here are a few tips for mailing packages during move-in. You can also access a video webinar about mail services and what to expect for move-in.

  • If you are mailing packages to yourself before move-in, please plan for them to arrive no earlier than the week of August 12 to help manage the increased volume during that time
  • Move-in is one of the busiest times of year for Mail Services, so processing delays are more likely. Pack essentials for the first two weeks, consider shopping local when you arrive, and order early!

Specialized Items for Residence Hall Rooms

Our office of Residential Well-being has long-standing partnerships with vendors who offer specialized room items for students living in Virginia Tech's residence hall rooms. Share these items with a Hokie in your life to help them make their residence hall room feel like home!

This information is provided as part of the Campus Countdown summer giveaway for the class of 2029! Incoming Hokies can follow along with our interactive email series using their vt.edu email this summer to win Hokie merch and learn more about on-campus living.
