We are so excited to announce a new official Fall Family Weekend event that has JUST been added to the calendar for Friday, September 16!
New Student and Family Programs and The Blacksburg Partnership, in partnership with the Town of Blacksburg and Downtown Blacksburg, Inc., are closing College Ave. to kick off Fall Family Weekend and the VT vs. Wofford game weekend. Grab a beverage or a bite to eat at a downtown Blacksburg restaurant and enjoy some of what the Blacksburg and Virginia Tech community has to offer! There will be activities and entertainment appropriate for all ages, so make sure to bring the family. Activities include but are not limited to: cornhole and other lawn games, music, spirit & traditions led by the Student Alumni Ambassadors, free Hokie swag, VT resources, and a "Future Hokies" Kid Zone. A beer garden on Draper Road will be open from 5 pm – 9 pm. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options will be available as well!
Visit the Hokies on Track tent in front of Squires to let us know you are here for Fall Family Weekend for the chance to win a prize! We will be raffling off free Proud Hokie Family swag items throughout the event.
Official Family Weekend activities will be held from 6-8 PM but guests are encouraged to spend the remainder of the evening in Downtown Blacksburg!
