The Corps of Cadets will celebrate the end of the semester and the Class of 2022 with two major events, both of which are open to the public.
On April 30, the Corps of Cadets will host a Change of Command Ceremony and Parade beginning at 10 a.m. on the Drillfield. This event will honor the Class of 2022 and usher in the Class of 2023 as the new cadet commanders of the regiment. It will include a change of command ceremony between the outgoing spring regimental commander and the incoming fall regimental commander, and the regiment will pass in review in front of the senior class.
On May 13, the Corps of Cadets Graduation and Joint Commissioning Ceremony begins at 7 p.m. in Burruss Auditorium. The ceremony generally takes about two hours. All graduates and commissioned officers will cross the stage to receive their certificates.
The schedule and FAQs for all university ceremonies, including the Corps of Cadets ceremony, can be found at vt.edu/commencement.
Additionally, the ROTC programs will conduct their commissioning activities throughout the May 13 weekend. Details on those will be available from your cadet’s ROTC program.
