Fall Family Weekend 2024 Registration

Fall Family Weekend, September 20-22, is a time for you to reconnect with your student and be in community with other Proud Hokie Families at Virginia Tech and in Blacksburg. ðŸ§¡âœ¨ðŸ¦ƒ Find the Fall Family Weekend schedule* of events in the Hokie Families Guide of the Hokies on Track app. The Hokie Families Guide also has "Plan Your Visit" information about parking, transit, dining, and limited area lodging, plus event descriptions, info sessions, and area attractions.

This form is to register your attendance at Fall Family Weekend. BEFORE YOU REGISTER: (1) Please download and familiarize yourself with the "Hokie Families Guide" in the "Hokies On Track" App for all the Fall Family Weekend schedule details and "Plan Your Visit" information, (2) talk with your student about which of the optional events, sessions, and activities you/they would like to attend, and (3) decide together whether September 20-22 is the best time for your visit. We will continue to add and update events as information becomes available.

Friday evening, September 20 will be a fun with our Family Resource Fair, 4:00-6:00 PM on the Squires Plaza, "Blacksburg 101" from 4:30-7:30 PM, and our Family GobblerNights performances and activities at the Graduate Life Center Plaza Stage (and fountain) at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM.

More events and details continue to be added to the schedule as they are finalized.

NOTE 1: Registering for Fall Family Weekend does not include entry into the home football game. You will have to secure your own football tickets via SeatGeek if you wish to attend the sold-out September 21 home game.

NOTE 2: We work with campus partners to provide as many FREE activities and events as possible, however some individual or ticketed events had fees or advance registration to attend. We were limited by space and catering for how many could attend our Family Tailgate, and as such, entry wristbands sold out quickly. Fear not! There are LOTS of other options for dining or tailgate activity prior to the Football Game, including on-campus Dining Halls, restaurants in Blacksburg, the Hokie Village, and other private/club tailgates. Talk with your student about available options and what is best for your family. Game time is TBD and will be set by the ACC. We will update the time for this tailgate as soon as possible after game time is announced.
